Blue Oak

The Blue Oak Tree’s scientific name is Quercus Douglasii and if you live around the Antelope, California area, then you will come across this tree pretty often.   You might have heard of it by a couple different names like mountain oak or even iron oak. It’s name came from the bluish green tint of the tree’s leaves. This oak’s leaves average between four to ten centimeters in length and the tree’s acorns range from two to three centimeters long. This is why you can probably see why this tree is responsible for much of the gutter cleaning in Antelope.
