Interior Live Oak
The Interior Live Oak is another tree commonly found in the Sacramento area. It's scientific name is Quercus Wislizeni and if you're anything like us, you probably can't pronounce it. These Oaks get pretty big. On average they grow to be around 72 feet high in higher elevation areas, but in lower elevations they stick to around 33 feet. This tree grows higher than pretty much everybody's homes which causes their leaves to get into a lot of gutters throughout Sacramento County. Their acorns and leaves aren't the biggest, but they are tough, so as much as we hate to hear it, they do a GREAT job at clogging our gutters. If you got this bad boy in your front or back yard, you'll probably be giving us a call sooner or later.
